The head of a speed camera location team has resigned but his organisation denies reports it was because a critical review is due to be published.

Norfolk's Casualty Reduction Partnership has denied its top man is going because of the way the county's speed cameras are run.

Spokesman Bryan Edwards said manager Barry Parnell had resigned purely for personal reasons.

"It is in no way linked to the Norfolk Police review," he said.

The review was commissioned by the Norfolk County Council and Norfolk Police because of concern over the siting of some cameras and is expected to be completed in September.
