A speed camera was deliberately set on fire on the A303 in Wiltshire.
Tyres wired together and filled with petrol were strung around the camera on the
westbound carriageway at Chicklade near Warminster.
A fire was lit below but a passing motorist raised the alarm in time for firefighters to
put it out before the camera unit could be destroyed.
Police have asked for information on anyone seen acting suspiciously in the area on
Saturday evening.
